Course Guide

Overview

This is a nationally recognised qualification that reflects the role of individuals who apply advanced knowledge and skills in a range of strategic leadership and management roles. 

Individuals at this level make high level autonomous decisions and use initiative and judgement to plan and implement a range of leadership and management functions in varied contexts. They have full responsibility and accountability for personal outputs and for the work or function of others.

They use cognitive and creative skills to review, critically analyse, consolidate and synthesise knowledge, in order to generate ideas and provide solutions to complex problems. They use communication skills to demonstrate their understanding of theoretical concepts and to transfer knowledge and ideas to others.

Age: Aged 18 or above at the at the time of enrolment application. 

Academic: Entry to this qualification is limited to those who: 

Have completed a Diploma or Advanced Diploma qualification in related fields of study and 3 years equivalent full-time relevant workplace experience at a significant level of leadership and management responsibility and/or complexity in an enterprise.
or
Have completed a Bachelor degree in related fields of study and 2 years equivalent full-time relevant workplace experience at a significant level of leadership and management responsibility and/or complexity in an enterprise.
or
Have five years equivalent full-time relevant workplace experience at a significant level of leadership and management responsibility and/or complexity in an enterprise.

Overseas qualifications:
Applicants who completed a Diploma, Advanced Diploma or higher degree level qualifications at overseas institutions may be required to submit their qualifications for AEI-NOOSR assessment in order to obtain a statement of equivalency.

ENGLISH Proficiency:
1. Minimum English level of IELTS 6.0 (written and oral bands of no less than 6.0) or equivalent; or

2. Completion of a full general ELICOS course (up to Upper Intermediate level); or

3. Successful completion of a 5-year education/study in an English speaking country
such as Australia, USA, Canada, New Zealand, Republic of Ireland, South Africa or
United Kingdom; or

4. Within 2 years of application date, successful completion in Australia of:

        a. Diploma or Advanced Diploma or Bachelor Degree qualification delivered in
            English language in Australia
Prior to enrolment or commencement of training, completion of a Pre-training interview and undertake a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) Test to ensure that you have the necessary English Proficiency levels to meet the course requirements. If a learner has done the Pre-Training Review and LLN assessment previously at Tr4in Right for a
previous qualification in the same stream, then this is not required.
Please note:
• IELTS or other equivalent English Proficiency test results older than 2 years are not accepted unless you have completed 2 years of study in Australia.

Computer Proficiency

Good digital literacy (to use digital technologies to access information via internet and use of MS Office applications (Word, Excel and Power Point)

Study Rights in Australia

You must have study rights in Australia when you commence and while you undertake studies

Self-study
Students are required to invest a minimum of 10 hours a week of self-directed learning to complete self-study and assessments.

In addition to all the software, equipment and personal protective gear and uniforms (if applicable) you need for your course, you are required to have access to the following for the duration of your studies:
  • PC or laptop 
  • Reliable internet connection 
  • Browser application (e.g. Google Chrome)
  • Pair of headphones
  • Access to Microsoft Office suite, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Access to Adobe Acrobat Reader and Adobe Flash Player.  

All students will have access to WIFI at Tr4in Right’s campus, however access to computers is limited and on a first-in- first-served basis. 

Assessment may be both formative and summative and may include a combination of projects, assignments, written assessments, role plays, case studies and simulated workplace activities.

On successful completion of this qualification, students may undertake other higher education or post-graduate qualifications. Students may receive credit for their studies towards an MBA program (through a selected higher education provider).

Job roles and titles vary across different industry sectors. Possible job titles relevant to this qualification include:
Managing Director | Chief Executive Officer | Chief Operating Officer | Senior Manager

Students may exit from the program at any point and be awarded a Statement of Attainment for any completed unit of competency
