Overview
Tr4inRight welcomes all international students and positively embraces cultural diversity across all study areas.
New enrolments are accepted every week.
All students are required to complete an Oxford English Placement Test.
Specific Requirements
- Applicants must be minimum 18 years of age at the time of enrolment.
- All international students must hold a valid Passport and Study VISA, and meet the conditions set by the Australian Department of Immigration.
- All students must have Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC), and provide a Year 12, Overseas Qualification (officially translated in English) and any Australian Qualifications with a Unique Student Identifier (USI); and updated contact details.
Each lesson is dedicated to developing students’ Speaking, Listening, Reading, and Writing skills with an emphasis on the practical application of grammar and vocabulary. Additionally, each course covers a variety of academic skills designed to advance students’ overall learning potential.
Out-of-class activities are organised every five weeks and are dedicated to providing students with real life opportunities to apply their in-class learning.
Importantly, students are required to maintain 90% and higher attendance.
Learning Outcomes
The ELICOS program’s learning outcomes are aligned with the Common European Frame of Reference (CEFR) language benchmarks, and all core and supplementary materials are provided through the National Geographic Life 2nd Edition, British English language studies series.

The ELICOS program provides a thorough study pathway for students to develop the necessary language skills required to enter into vocational education and successfully apply these throughout their studies and career choices.
Teaching Methodology
Lessons are delivered using the student-centred approach, where there is more emphasis placed on students’ active participation in engaging others and applying their learning in practical and meaningful ways. Lessons are carefully planned to ensure students are equipped with the right mix of language, skills and confidence boosting to become independent and communicatively competent throughout their studies and ongoing careers.
Formative Unit Tests (after every 2 units)
These tests aim to:
– monitor individual learning development
– identify students needing additional and tailored assistance
– prepare students for the Progress Tests
Summative Progress Tests (every 5 weeks)
These tests aim to:
– identify students who are ready for the next level
Tr4inRight teachers are TESOL qualified and have extensive teaching experience. Our commitment to consistent professional development and program monitoring ensures high quality teaching and a positive learner experience for all students.
Providing additional support and identifying students who are in need, are a high priority at Tr4inRight.
Although teachers are usually the first point of contact, the ELICOS Director of Studies and Student Support Officer offers confidential and timely feedback to individual students that includes formative and summative test result consultations, recommendations for additional learning, and/or referrals to medical and welfare service providers.
The teachers and staff at Tr4inRight are dedicated to ensuring a positive learning experience for all students.
